ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentations are organized in oral sessions given in the program together with the time of presentation of each contribution. Each presentation is expected to last 12 minutes + 3 minutes discussion and change over.

The authors are kindly asked to upload their presentations directly within 30 minutes preceding the actual time block of the session. A lecture room assistant will be available for any help.

* Lecture Room Equipment:
- Beamer;
- Notebook for the upload of presentations (USB flash drive);
- Laserpointer;
- Microphones.
Please note that no laptop station will be available. You are kindly requested to provide your presentation on a USB flash drive directly at the conference.

The computer in each lecture room is equipped with the following software:
- Windows XP Pro
- Office 2007
- Acrobat Reader 11
- VLC 2.0.8
- Windows Media Player 11
- Internet Explorer 8
- Firefox 21
- Flash Player 11
- Shockwave 12
No other software will be available to run the presentations.

POSTERS

Poster boards are in landscape format with a dimension of 84 cm width x 138 cm height. The poster size is determined by the author. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the Facility Desk in the poster area.

Authors are kindly asked to put up their posters on friday November 15th before 3pm, to enable the conference participants to view their posters at any time, and to take them down on saturday November 16th after 1pm and before 2pm. After this time, the remaining posters will be disposed by the conference staff (i.e. posters will not be stored anymore).

The presenting author is kindly asked to be present at the poster display for presentation during the attendance time of each poster session, as indicated in the program.

Il termine per l'invio degli abstract è rinviato a venerdì 27 settembre 2013. Gli abstract ricevuti entro quella data e accettati per la presentazione verranno inclusi nel libro degli abstract (ma NON nel Journal of Neuroimmune Pharmacology - http://www.springer.com/biomed/neuroscience/journal/11481, per il quale il termine era fissato al 9 agosto scorso).

Si svolgerà a Varese il 15 e 16 novembre prossimi il Convegno monotematico SIF dal titolo "Neuroimmune Pharmacology: Challenging Paradigms Beyond Boundaries - Integrating pharmacology, immunology, and neurosciences in a therapeutic perspective", organizzato dal Centro di Ricerca in Farmacologia Medica dell'Università degli Studi dell'Insubria Varese-Como in collaborazione con il Gruppo di Lavoro SIF sull’infiammazione e il Gruppo di Lavoro SIF sulle malattie neurodegenerative.

Gli abstract selezionati verranno pubblicati nel fascicolo di ottobre 2013 della rivista Journal of Neuroimmune Pharmacology (Springer, IF 2011: 4.574 - http://www.springer.com/biomed/neuroscience/journal/11481).

Il termine per l'invio degli abstract è il 9 agosto 2013. Non saranno possibili deroghe a causa dei tempi tassativi richiesti per la pubblicazione.

La partecipazione al Convegno è gratuita. Come di consueto, a tutti i Soci SIF di età inferiore a 38 anni verrà garantita - grazie al contributo SIF - la copertura delle spese di soggiorno.

E' disponibile in aggiunta un limitato numero di contributi per spese di viaggio e soggiorno che potranno essere assegnati ai partecipanti che: (i) ricoprano una posizione non di ruolo; (ii) abbiano inviato uno o più abstract; (iii) inviino insieme alla scheda di registrazione una una motivata lettera di richiesta. L'importo del contributo è fino a 125 Euro per i partecipanti provenienti dall'Italia e fino a 250 Euro per coloro che provengono dall'estero, e verrà erogato sotto forma di rimborso previa presentazione di documentazione utile.
